Caring for Opal Jewellery

Opals are truly beautiful gemstones, showing a wide range of stunning hues. Here are some tips for looking after your opal.

1. Do not get your opals wet. At all. That means avoiding contact with water, oils, soap, make up, hand creams, hair spray etc.

2. Make sure your opal jewellery is the last thing you put on before leaving the house.

3. Make sure your opal jewellery is the first thing you remove when you arrive back home.

4. Keep it stored safely in its box when you are not wearing it.

We recommend bringing your opal jewellery to us for cleaning rather than attempting to clean it yourself at home.
